JOEL C. KARP
Joel C. Karp was born in Stamford, Connecticut on April 9, 1940. He received his B.A. from Brown University in 1961, and his J.D. (with honors) from the University of Connecticut in 1964. Mr. Karp was admitted to the Connecticut Bar and to the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut in 1964, to the U.S. Tax Court in 1972 and to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1980.

Mr. Karp has been and is currently involved in numerous community endeavors such as Trustee of St. Raphael's Hospital Fund, Trustee of the New Haven Jewish Community Foundation, Officer and Director of the New Haven Jewish Federation, Past President and Director of the Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven, past and present Campaign Chairman of the New Haven Jewish Federation, past President and Director of Camp Laurelwood, Inc. a non-profit camp, past President of the New Haven Jewish Home for the Aged, past Officer and Director of Ezra Academy, past Director and Chair of the Greater New Haven Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and is a member of the Milford, New Haven and Connecticut Bar Associations.

Mr. Karp has written a number of published articles and is a frequent speaker on the subjects of estate planning and corporate succession.

LAWRENCE LANGERMAN
Lawrence Langerman, was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on September 19, 1951 and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar and to U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut in 1976, to the U.S. Tax Court in 1977, and to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1980.

Mr. Langerman received his B.A. from the University of Vermont in 1973, and his JD from Catholic University of America in 1976, and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1980.

Mr. Langerman is also involved in numerous community endeavors and is a frequent speaker on the subjects of estate planning, pension and profit sharing plans.
